Fights on TV This Week: Our Picks for July 27 – August 2
It's a loaded fight week, and it's front-loaded onto one enormous Saturday. There are two world titles contested on a single boxing card in Las Vegas, an all-undefeated lightweight title fight in the PFL cage in New York, a UFC Fight Night from Serbia that airs before lunch on the East Coast, a world-title rebooking in Dublin, and a fast-rising regional card out of Brazil. Here's what we'd clear the calendar for — and exactly where to watch every minute.

Roach vs Zepeda
Our marquee pick of the week. Lamont "The Reaper" Roach Jr. (25-1-3, 10 KOs) meets Mexico's William "El Camarón" Zepeda (33-1, 27 KOs) for the vacant WBC lightweight title over 12 rounds at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas — the crafty, awkward Roach against one of the division's heaviest-volume punchers. What pushes it to the top of the board is the depth: the co-feature is a second live world title fight, Raymond Muratalla (24-0, 17 KOs) defending the IBF lightweight belt against former champion Robson Conceição (21-3-1, 10 KOs).
Where to watch (US): this one airs on TNT and truTV in the United States — it headlines TNT Sports/DAZN's new monthly "The Fight" series — with DAZN carrying it worldwide. Coverage starts around 8 p.m. ET; the main-event ring walks land late, around 11 p.m. ET.
PFL New York: Nurmagomedov vs. Colgan
The MMA pick, and it's a pure one: champion vs. unbeaten challenger, both perfect. Usman Nurmagomedov (21-0) defends the PFL lightweight world championship against undefeated American Archie Colgan (13-0) at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. Nurmagomedov's last outing was a technical-submission defense over Alfie Davis in February; Colgan arrives off a decision win over Jay-Jay Wilson and has never tasted defeat. The co-main is a genuine draw too — undefeated women's flyweight star Dakota Ditcheva (15-0) against the vastly experienced Denise Kielholtz (9-5).
Opinion: unbeaten-vs-unbeaten title fights rarely disappoint, and Nurmagomedov is one of the most complete lightweights outside the UFC — Colgan's perfect record gets its stiffest test yet.
UFC Fight Night: Medić vs. Rodriguez
The week's UFC card is UFC Fight Night: Medić vs. Rodriguez — and note the correction if you saw it listed at the Apex: it actually runs at Belgrade Arena in Belgrade, Serbia. Uroš Medić meets Daniel Rodriguez in the welterweight main event, with lightweights Ľudovít Klein vs. Tofiq Musayev among the notable undercard bouts. Because it's a European card, it airs early in the US — a rare chance to watch a full UFC event over Saturday lunch rather than late at night.

O'Leary vs Chamberlain
A world title on the line in Dublin: Pierce "Big Bang" O'Leary (19-0, 11 KOs) makes the first defense of his IBO super-lightweight belt against England's Mark Chamberlain (17-1-1, 12 KOs) at the 3Arena. It's a rebooking — their planned March meeting fell through when Chamberlain was hospitalized by an infection two weeks out — so there's a settle-the-score edge to it. O'Leary won the belt by stopping Maxi Hughes in five last time out.
Where to watch: live on DAZN, with an early US start (afternoon Eastern for the UK-time card).
LFA 238: Distrito #1
One for the prospect-watchers. LFA 238: Distrito #1 runs Friday from Arena Nilson Nelson in Brasília, Brazil, with a bantamweight main event between Brazil's Herbeth "Índio" Sousa and Uruguay's Paulo "Pablito" Portillo — the kind of high-finish-rate regional matchup where a win can earn a UFC look. The LFA has long been one of the sport's most reliable feeder promotions.
Where to watch (US): on VICE TV, LFA's US home, at 8 p.m. ET. Note it's a Friday card, not Saturday.
